Reclamation Work, Emmerson Park

GEMTEC was retained for confirmatory site sampling and the preparation of Records of Site Condition for the former CN shops, now known as Emmerson Park. This work was part of a project to rehabilitate Moncton properties and re-develop these pieces of land in Moncton, New Brunswick. The project has garnered several awards, including the Urban Institute ‘Brownie’ award and the USEPA ‘Phoenix’ award.

Project highlights include:

• Extensive soil sampling and screening
• Preparation of Records of Site Condition
• Preparation of a closure report
• Coordination of work and input among many different groups, including government, local citizens, biologists, toxicologists, and hydrogeologists
