GEMTEC’s multi-disciplinary team designed a two-lane, six-span bridge structure spanning 218 metres across the Shediac River. This new bridge is part of the Route 11 twinning project. The bridge Piers are supported on 1800 mm diameter rock socketed caissons, the North Abutment is founded directly on bedrock and the South Abutment is founded on driven H piles to bedrock.
