Sheri Burton

Sheri is the Branch Manager and Geotechnical Lead for GEMTEC’s Halifax operations. She brings over 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering consulting and project management, with a focus on foundations in soil and rock, slope stability, and multi-disciplinary investigations in remote or technically complex environments. Sheri has led geotechnical investigations and design for transportation infrastructure, oil and gas facilities, mining and industrial developments, and commercial projects. She has held leadership roles with the Consulting Engineers of Nova Scotia and the Canadian Geotechnical Society, and currently contributes to national standards as a working group member for the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code.
