Darrol Rice

Darrol Rice is the Branch Manager of our St. John’s office in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador. Darrol joined GEMTEC when the NL office opened in 2015 and has played an instrumental role in developing operations there. His leadership and management experience spans over 22 years of managing and executing a variety of environmental and permitting (provincial and federal) projects for various clients within the government, insurance, real estate, petroleum, mining, and private sectors. He has a broad understanding of project management, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring, controlling, executing, and closing various types of projects. In addition, he has worked on numerous mine development projects in a consulting advisory capacity and has been part of the owner’s team responsible for advancing projects from permitting through to development and into construction/operations.
